Hello everyone!

My name is Seerat Kaur Dhillon, and I am delighted to introduce myself as the Counsellor and Student Engagement Officer at SCEI.

A little about me...

I hold a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), and I’m a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association. I am passionate about supporting people through life's ups and downs. What drew me to counselling was a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported.

College life is about much more than assignments, exams, and deadlines. It is also about personal growth, building connections, navigating change, and learning how to look after your wellbeing along the way. My role is to support you through all aspects of that journey. I understand that reaching out for support can sometimes feel daunting. That's why I aim to create a space that is welcoming, relaxed, and free from judgment, a place where you can be yourself and talk openly about whatever is on your mind.

πŸ’ When can you reach out?

Many people think counselling is only for times of crisis, but that's not the case at all.

You don't need to wait until things become overwhelming to book a session. Whether you're going through a difficult time, feeling stuck, adjusting to a new environment, or simply looking for someone to listen, I am here for you.

Sometimes, having a simple conversation can make all the difference.

🀝 Ways I can support you

β€’ Finding balance when study, work, and personal life feel like too much to juggle
β€’ Navigating changes, transitions, and the challenges of student life
β€’ Building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
β€’ Managing difficult emotions, stress, worry, or uncertainty
β€’ Working through relationship, family, or interpersonal concerns
β€’ Exploring goals, decision-making, and future direction
β€’ Developing healthy coping strategies and self-care practices
β€’ Connecting you with additional services and resources when needed
β€’ Or simply offering a safe space where you can talk, reflect, and feel supported
